Confidence is an important characteristic of a leader. Confidence is shown by your attitude. If you are complaining, making excuses, frowning, slumping, moving slow, and without direction or clarity then your attitude is not one of confidence. This is not a good way to show subordinates that you believe in your company’s mission.
Walking fast, having good posture, smiling, and looking someone in the eye shows confidence, honesty, and sincerity. It is impossible to be happy and sad at the same time. Work on your personal happiness habits. Confidence will help you manage egos, be clear in the delegation of tasks, have clarity with regard to employee roles, and help them stay accountable.
